Gayler named R3 Elementary Teacher of the Year

Calhoun County ISD is proud to announce that our very own Erin Gayler has been selected to represent the Region 3 education service area as Elementary Teacher of the Year!
Mrs. Gayler has taught for 13 years and currently serves as a 3rd - 5th grade Reading & Language Arts at Port O’Connor School. Mrs. Gayler has trained and certified in the areas of Dyslexia, ESL, GT, and Special Education, so that she can better serve her student’s needs. In addition to being nominated and advancing through her campus and district levels of the Texas Teacher of the Year program, she was also recently designated as a Master Teacher by the Texas Education Agency, due to her exceptional student growth and teacher evaluation scores. Mrs. Gayler is recognized by the Teacher Incentive Allotment as one of the top educators in the state.
Mrs. Gayler is a strong advocate for her student’s success. She believes that when students feel supported by their teacher, anything is possible.
