2023 Future Chef recipe card submission deadline extended to 3/3/23

Calhoun County ISD students in 3rd - 6th grade may participate in this year's Future Chef program by submitting a recipe for their favorite fruit or vegetable side dish to their school's cafeteria register by Friday, March 3. Paper recipe cards are available for pick up at your child's school cafeteria. A Microsoft Word format of the recipe card can be requested by emailing [email protected].
From there, one student's recipe per school will be selected to advance to the district-level cook-off, which is scheduled for Thursday, March 23. The five students participating in the cook-off will work closely with a Child Nutrition staff member to prepare and present their dish in front of a panel of judges.
