Welcome to Travis Middle School, located in beautiful Port Lavaca along the Texas Gulf Coast! Proudly serving students in grades 6–8, our school is one of two middle schools in the Calhoun County Independent School District and is home to approximately 700 students and 70 dedicated staff members.

At Travis, we believe that middle school is a time for exploration, growth, and connection. Our mission is to support every student academically, socially, and emotionally as they prepare for the journey ahead. We offer a wide variety of extracurricular programs and enrichment opportunities to help students discover their passions and develop lifelong skills, including:

• Athletics (7th & 8th grade): Basketball, Football, Tennis, Track, Volleyball, Soccer, Cross Country, Baseball, and Softball
   
• Fine Arts: Band, Choir, Art, and Theater Arts
   
• Academic and Leadership Programs: Math Counts, National Junior Honor Society, UIL Academics (1st Place 2024–2025!), and Robotics
   
• Clubs and Activities: Coastal Explorers, Yearbook, Garden Club, and Tutorial Programs
