Lunch Program

Free lunch available to all CCISD students

We have some exciting news to share! Calhoun County ISD has been approved to provide free school lunch to all students though the Community Eligibility Program (CEP).
Breakfast will also be served to students at no charge, as in past years.

It is important for families to understand that although we won’t need to collect free and reduced meal applications this year. Due to CEP, we will still need to collect and report accurate socio-economic data to determine eligibility for future years of the free lunch program, and also be funded and accessed by the state appropriately.
A form requesting socio-economic information will be sent out at the start of school.

Breakfast:
Students – no charge; $3.50 for additional breakfast entree
Adults/guests - $3.50

Lunch:
Students – no charge for first meal served; $5.25 for additional meals or “second helpings”
Adults/guests - $5.25 per meal

As a reminder, Calhoun County ISD Child Nutrition uses a purchasing system called LINQ Connect (formerly Titan), and parents may continue to add funds to their child’s account for a la carte items.

Questions about Calhoun County ISD’s meal programs can be directed to Child Nutrition at 361-552-5356.
Any other questions can be directed to your child’s school.

Charges and Payment of Meals

Students will not be allowed to charge snack items or a-la-carte items.

Employees can charge up to $20.00 on their account, however, all balances need to be paid in full by the end of April.
Visitors are not allowed to charge items.

Prepayment/Payment of Meals
LINQ Connect Family Portal can be used to apply funds to student accounts. A $2.60 fee does apply for online payments.

Cash and checks are also accepted at each school office and school cafeteria during business hours. Titan Family Portal accounts have several unique features. You can create daily spending limits, receive low balance notifications, transfer funds between accounts, view transaction history, and setup recurring payment plans.
