Diverse children joyfully surrounded by a colorful array of fruits and nature elements.Dear Parent or Guardian,

We are pleased to inform you that Calhoun County ISD is still able to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a program available to schools participating in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Programs.

What does this mean for you and your children?
Great news! All enrolled CCISD students are eligible to receive one healthy breakfast, one lunch, and one “after school” snack at school at no cost to your household each day of the school year. Your children will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.

However, it is still very important for families to understand that the district will still need to collect socio-economic information at the start of school on a form titled, “Confidential Household Income Form”. Please keep an eye out for that form and return it promptly, as the district’s socio-economic data determines how schools are funded and accessed by the state. The data also determines eligibility for the free meals in the future (CEP).

As a reminder, Calhoun County ISD Child Nutrition uses a purchasing system called LINQ Connect, and parents may continue to add funds to their child’s account for a la carte items (extra entrée helping) and/or snacks (if available at your school).
