Cell Phones and Personal Devices

As we start the new school year, we want to share an important update to our Cell Phone & Electronic Device Policy in compliance with Texas HB 1481.
Below is the policy for Calhoun High School.
Beginning this year, all personal communication devices (including cell phones, smartwatches, wireless earbuds, and tablets) must be turned off, out of sight, and stored in backpacks from the time students enter the building until dismissal at 3:55 PM.
We know this will be a big change for many of our students, but our goal is to keep the focus on learning, relationships, and a distraction-free environment.
