Calhoun County ISD is offering voluntary on-demand and screening based testing. This testing is simple, non-invasive, painless, free, curbside, and completely optional.  

Parents/Staff Choice options:

Our Calhoun County ISD parents and staff have options for COVID-19 testing. We offer voluntary on-demand testing for times of illness or symptoms. New this year to meet TEA requirements for our testing program, is voluntary screening-based testing. Voluntary Screening-based testing is for healthy individuals who want to voluntarily participate in routine testing.

Staff and students please, do not come to school if you are ill or have symptoms of illness.
**Choose one of the following options before returning  to school

Healthcare provider option 

Option 1: For staff or students showing symptoms of illness  * I will remain at home and contact my healthcare provider for instructions  * I follow their instructions and stay home until released by my healthcare provider to return to school * I will provide a return to school note signed by my provider

Voluntary On-demand testing: Option 2: For staff and students showing symptoms of illness * Completely optional, simple, & non-invasive * Free curbside COVID-19 testing (rapid antigen) for students and staff who are ill or have symptoms of illness * Testing is available for students Mondays-Fridays by appointment. * Students request a testing appointment at CLICK HERE  * Testing is available for staff starting at 7 a.m. and by appointment only, via the employee self report. 

Voluntary Screening-based testing for healthy individuals 
Option 3: NEW to CCISD: As a part of our current testing program, TEA's new guidelines require CCISD to offer students and staff the option to participate voluntarily in a screening-based program
 * Completely optional, voluntary screening-based testing is routine, once a week (or greater depending on the participant's preference) voluntary testing to detect COVID-19 in individuals who do not have any symptoms of being sick
 * The weekly screening for COVID-19 uses a rapid antigen testing method and is available when community transmission rates are low, moderate to high depending on your preference
 * The CDC recommends the use of screening testing in schools as a tool to help stop the spread of COVID-19
 * Testing will take place on your home campus and be conducted during the school day
 * Parents will not need to be present for testing and results will be delivered via the color app
 * Registration with the color app. is required and allows parents and staff to receive test results
