Calhoun County ISD discussed the results of its 2021-2022 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) during a public hearing at the March 27 school board meeting. The report reflected important information about how Calhoun County ISD students have performed over the last two academic years - 2022 results compared to 2021 results. The report also compared district attendance and graduation information to state and region averages.
Highlights for the district include a strong performance from elementary students, with all tested subjects in grades 3rd-5th scoring above the state and region in approaches and meets performance categories. EOC Algebra 1 and Biology were above the state and region % in all three performance categories. Other highlights included increased College, Career, and Military Readiness results and a high STAAR participation rate.
The district continues to focus on improving student performance in the areas of Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies at the middle school level, as well as English 1 and English 2 at the high school level. Increasing our masters grade level percentages in all content areas and grade levels is another focus area for the district and its campuses. Calhoun County ISD's 2022 accountability rating was a B.
