The A - F Accountability System is a statewide rating system established by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and used to evaluate Texas school districts and their public schools. Under this system, TEA assigns a letter grade (A - F) to districts and campuses that reflects student performance and growth based on state assessments and the college readiness of their graduates. Texas school districts have not received an A-F rating for the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Calhoun County ISD is proud to announce that the district received a grade of 86 (B) for the 2021-2022 school year. Three campuses - Port O'Connor School, HJM Elementary, and Hope High School - attained a grade of an A. JR Elementary, Seadrift School, and Calhoun High School were awarded a grade of a B. Travis Middle School received a Not Rated designation.
We recognize that such accomplishments during these challenging times for all schools could not have happened without the collaboration and hard work of our faculty, staff, and students. Congratulations on a job well done!
Even though these ratings do not tell the whole story of the students we serve each day, they do provide important insights to improve the learning experience for CCISD students. Thus, we will use what we learn to establish improvement goals on every campus. We have great expectations for the 2022-2023 school year!
