Notification of confirmed COVID-19 case at TMS

In keeping with district practices to respond to COVID-19, we are notifying all students, staff and guests that one Travis Middle School student has tested positive for COVID-19 The student was last on campus 02/12/2021. The school has reached out to any "close contacts". Maintenance will sanitize the building and E-Mist immediately.

CCISD is now offering COVID testing for students and staff, by appointment. For more information, please see the district website at www.calcoisd.org.

Please stay at home if a student/family member has symptoms for COVID-19. Also, if a student or any individual in the home is waiting on COVID test results, please stay at home. Any of the following symptoms may indicate a possible COVID-19 infection. If a student has any of these symptoms, please keep them at home and call the school nurse.   

Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit


Cough, or Difficulty breathing or, Shortness of breath


Chills or shaking or exaggerated shivering

Diarrhea, or Vomiting, or Abdominal pain

Loss of taste or smell

Significant muscle pain or ache

Congestion or runny nose, or sore throat

This list does not represent every possible symptom.

A new Education Task Force has been created to provide guidance for schools in cases such as these. The Bexar County Region 8 public health authority will conduct an investigation by making contact with the individual and any “close contacts”. 


Region 8 phone calls will have a (210) area code. If a student or household member begins to experience any of these symptoms in a way that is not typical, we encourage you to contact your physician. We encourage students, staff or family members connected with Travis Middle School to please notify the school if a household member is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19.
