Monday night the seventh grade Lady Fiddlers traveled to Cade to play their last game of the season. The B team had a heartbreak of a game losing 15-16 making them third in district. Highlight from the game were: Lead points: Lauren Mutchler 6 pts, Nikki Gonzalez 4 pts, Victoria Kupch and Marie Hisquierdo 2 pts each and Allie Becker 1 free throw. Lead rebounds: Nikki Gonzalez 7, Sariah Loya and Lauren Mutchler 5 each. Leaders in steals: Lauren Mutchler 5, Tatiana Herrera 3.
The A team had an outstanding finish to their season defeating Cade 38-0! They finished undefeated in district and 13-1 for the season. Highlights from the game were: lead points: Dahlia Ortiz 13, Stephanie Delgado 11, Madysen Parker 4. Lead rebounds: Dahlia Ortiz 6, Dorothy Williams and Stephanie Delgado 5 each, Rhema Orta and Hannah Spencer 4 each. Leaders in steals: Stephanie Delgado 9, Hailey Nichols 3. The 8th grade B team hosted the last game of the season against the Lady Bulldogs of Cade. They won 25 – 6. This win gave them a season record of 11 wins and 1 loss and a district record of 9 wins and – 0 losses to give them the District Championship. This team has a 2 year record of 21 wins and 3 losses. Results of the game were: Dominique Campos 10 pts, McKayla Cortez 9 pts, Bar Htoo, Ruby Villarreal and Bethany McFarland 2 pts each. McKayla and Bar led in steals with 4 each followed by Kaysen with 3. Ruby and Dominique had 2 forced turnovers apiece and Dominique led in rebounds with 6. Abigail and Kaysen had a blocked shot each and McKayla and Abigail each had 2 assists.
The A Team also won 42-7. This win gave them a perfect record of 16 wins and 0 losses also giving the the District Championship. This team also has a 2 year record of 32 wins and 0 losses. Results of this game were: Lexi Alvarado 16 pts, Taylor Carter 10 pts, Abby Hroch 8 pts, Savannah Woodward and Genesis Villarreal 4 pts each. Genesis led in steals with 5 followed by Alex with 3, Allysah, Taylor and Abby had 2 apiece. Abby led in rebounds with 7 and she also had 2 blocked shots. Lexi had 4 assists in the game and Genesis had 2. Its been a great year, Congratulations to both teams on a great season!
