The 8th grade B Lady Fiddlers defeated Stroman Monday Dec. 12th, to advance to a 3-1 record. Highlights of the game: Jacki Trevino -2 points, 1 rebound; Alejandra Villalon – 10 points, 10 steals; Jessica Vega -19 points and 6 steals; Katrina Escobal – 4 points and 2 rebounds; Haley Morales – 7 rebounds and 3 steals; Melissa Rodriguez 2 points and 3 rebounds. The Lady Fiddlers next game will be when we return from Christmas break on Jan. 5th against Patti Welder.
The 8th Lady fiddlers defeated Stroman to improve their record to 9-0 for the season Monday night. Highlights of the game: Leading scorers: Brandy Escobar 4, Lexi Kurtz; Most Rebounds: Kelsey Tidrick; Most Steals: Brandy Escobar. Final score was 41- 8. The Lady Fiddlers’ next game is Jan. 5 at home.
Monday, Dec 12th the lady fiddlers traveled to stroman to play the lady vipers. The 7th B team won 18-0 with a running clock for the entire game. Results were as follow:
Mckayla Cortez and Savannah Woodward 6 pts each, Ruby Villarreal, Kaysen Vickery and Auria Riser 2 pts each. Mckayla and Danielle Servantes had 1 assist apiece. Kaysen led in steals with 8, Ruby, Elli Deleon, Kaysen, Auria and Danielle had 2 forced turnovers each. Savannah led in rebounds followed by Mckayla.
The A team won 72-2. Results were as follows:
Martina Stavinoha 19 pts, Genesis Villarreal 18 pts, Abby Hroch 14 pts, Alex Iglesias 13 pts, Alexis Alvarado 6 pts, Skyla Calzada 2 pts. Alexis and Martina had 2 assists each and Genesis led in steals with 11 followed by Alexis with 7. Alex led in rebounds with 13 followed by Abby with 8.
This was their last game until after Christmas break when they will play Patti Welder.

Last weekend the lady fiddlers hosted their annual basketball tournament. The 7th A team played Howell on Friday and won 46-4. On Saturday they played Cade for their first game and won 48-7, this win took them to the finals against OlV and they won that game 46-14. This win gave them 1st place in the tournament.
Results of the tournament were as follows:
Martina Stavinoha 49 pts, Alexis Alvarado 27 pts, Abby Hroch 24 pts, Genesis Villarreal 16 pts, Savannah Woodward 11 pts, Alex Iglesias 10 pts, Allysah De Los Santos 2 pts, and Se Reyna Garcia 1 pt.
Alexis led in assists with 12. Genesis led in steals with 14 followed by Alexis with 12. Both of these girls also led in forced turnovers with 10 each. Martina led in rebounds with 27 followed by Abby with 24. Martina also had 6 blocked shots in the tournament.
