The 8th grade Lady Fiddler B team closed their season with a win on Monday night, Oct. 31, at Patti Welder, finishing the season 11-1. They defeated Patti Welder in two games 25-12 and 25-23. Highlights of the game were: Miranda Moya – 6 aces, 13 points, 9 sets; Orianna Cantu – 3 aces, 9 points, 4 spikes; Abby McFall 3 hits, 1 save; Brandy Escobar 2 hits, 1 dig. The 7th Grade A Team hosted the Lady Panthers of Patti Welder. They won in 2 games 25-21, 25-17. They finished the season with a record of 11 wins and 4 losses. They finished 2nd in district. Results of the match were: Martina Stavinoha 6 pts, Alex Iglesias, Genesis Villarreal and Ashlyn Beard 5 pts each, Kaysen Vickery and Abby Hroch 2 pts each, Dee Dee Ebans and McKayla Cortez 1 pt each. Martina led in spikes with 10 and Kaysen was top setter with 18. Alex also had 4 aces in the match.
The Lady Fiddlers 7B Team finished their season with a victory of Patti Welder 25-16; 25-7, on Monday night. The 7th B team finished with a record of 10-4 for the season. Stats for the game are: Sarah Tomlinson 1 ace, 1 spike, 6 points and 1 tip; Bayley Neuman had 14 points and 3 aces; Ali Kalisek 8 points, 1 spike, 1 tip, and 2 sets; Jocelyne Solis 100% passing; Kara Dierschke 1 ace, 1 save, and 4 points; Meghan Wehmeyer 2 sets; Alexis Ybarra 11 points, 2 aces, and 1 dig; and Arriana Cruz 1 ace, 8 points, and 1 spike. It has been a great season and if anyone has watched the girls throughout the season they know they have improved tremendously! Way to go ladies!
The 8th grade A team traveled to Patti Welder for their last match of the season. It was a nail biter, it took 3 games but they came out with the win. 25-15, 20-15, 26-24. They finished the season with a record of 10 wins and 5 losses with a 2nd place in District behind Cade. Results of the match were: Robyn Stringo 13 pts, Janiah Orta 10 pts, Alexis Cruz 9 pts, Kara Pfeil and Lexi Kurtz 4 pts each. Kara led in spikes with 7 followed by Lexi and Janiah with 3. Lexi and Janiah also had 3 ace serves each. Kara had 3 blocks in the match and Elaina led in sets with 9 followed by Leanna with 8. Lexi led in dinks with 6 followed by Robyn with 4.
