On Friday, Oct. 28th, the cross country athletes competed in the district meet in Beeville. Because there was no Jr.High division, they competed in the freshman group. The Travis Kids were the only Junior High group running, the rest were freshmen. The Boys and girls placed 1st. The results in the girls were: McKayla Cortez - 1st, Leanna Gottschalt 2nd, Leena Morales 4th, Veronica Perez 8th, Alexis Alvarado 9th, Meghan Wehmeyer 15th and Shaughnessy Howell 16th. In the Boys division the results were: Chase Garcia 5th, Stetson Dierlam 9th, Austin Nasternak - 12th, Jakeob Arevalo 14th, Jacob Sanchez 15th and Tully Mauphins 16th Place.
