Travis Gold 22 vs. Patti Welder 26
The Travis Fiddlers were unfortunate to be on the losing end of an exciting game Tuesday night in Patti Welder. Travis started the game with an impressive nine minute scoring drive that took up the entire first quarter. Adrian Mendoza, Matthew Lerma, Andrew Holsey, and J.C. Garcia all contributed with runs on the drive and all came up with big first down conversions. The offensive line was discipline and made blocks that allowed the team to work the ball down the field. Cody Flores also had a ten yard reception that resulted in a first down. This opening drive was capped off with a five yard touchdown run by Adrian Mendoza to make the score 6-0. The defense gave up with some big plays in the second quarter that allowed Patti Welder to score. Going into halftime the Fiddlers were down 6-8. The second half was intense as both teams offenses opened up the game. J.C. Garcia would score on a 35 yard run that tied up the game 14-14 late in the third quarter. Garcia also scored on a 2pt conversion. After giving up another touchdown to start the fourth quarter, the special teams fired right back with a 75 yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Garcia. Garcia once again added a 2pt conversion. This made the score 22-20 with Travis up by two. The game ended in disappointment when Patti Welder broke off a 35 yard touchdown run with no time left on the clock. Although they came out on the losing end, the Fiddlers played their best game of the season and showed that they are a very good football team.
Travis Black 10 Vs. Pattie Welder 0
The Travis black team got its first win of the season on Tuesday night against Patti Welder. Brandon Williams made 2 tackles in a row for a loss to start the game on defense forcing Patti Welder to attempt a punt from their own end zone. Williams was able to make the tackle on the punt for a safety from the result of a bad snap. This put Travis up 2-0. On their opening drive of the game the offense moved the ball down the field and capped off the drive with a 15 yard touchdown run my Nelse Hypolite. Rudy Aleman and Eric Cano both played spectacular on defense coming up with tackles for a loss throughout the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Kaw Klar Htoo also came up with an interception returned for 15 yards. Damian Rodriguez started the second half with a 20 yard kickoff return. To begin the 4th quarter Peyton Sanchez and Eric Cano each came up with multiple 10 yard runs. The Fiddlers were unable to put the ball in the end zone again because they ran out of time in the 4th quarter.
7th Gold vs Patti Welder
The Travis gold team had another strong showing on Tuesday night defeating the Patti Welder Panthers 28-0, raising their record to 2-1 on the season. Every member contributed on both sides of the football and did a great job. The fiddlers got off to another fast start when Christian Baldera picked up a fumble and ran it 30 yds for the touchdown, giving the Fiddlers a 6-0 lead early in the first quarter. After some big hits on defense by Matt Alvarado, Wally Reyes, and Joe Sanchez the Fiddlers ended the first quarter with a 6-0 lead. The 2nd quarter began with a big 4th down stop by Wally Reyes and then an interception by Javi Pena stalled another Panther drive. Gabe Ramirez had tough runs up the middle all night and was a load to bring down. With time running out in the 2nd quarter, Christian Baldera bounced outside on a sweep and ran 50 yards to the end zone raising the lead to 12-0. The run was sprung by a punishing block down field by Wally Reyes. Gabe Ramirez added the 2 pt conversion and the Fiddlers led 14-0 at the break. The Fiddlers added two more touchdowns in the 3rd on a 60 yard touchdown run by Joe Sanchez, and a great interception return by Christian Baldera. Noah Bonuz added the 2 pt conversion pushing the lead to 28-0. The 4th quarter was scoreless, and Austin Laughlin and Hugo Campos had big plays on defense to preserve the lead. The offense did a great job of moving the ball all night and the defense played physical, preserving their 2nd straight shut out.

7th Grade Black Team vs. Patti Welder
The 7th grade Fiddler Black Team earned another victory last night by the count of 30-0. Their record is now 3-0 for the season.
Dylan Byrd started off the game with a 45 yard QB keeper for the first touchdown of the game. Byrd also added the two point conversion to make it 8-0 in the first quarter.
Isaiah Falcon helped add to the lead with a 20 yard run for another Fiddler touchdown. The score was 14-0 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Casey Dean broke open a 25 yard run and another five yard run on top of that. Dylan Byrd scored again on a QB keeper and Joey Barrett added the two point conversion. The score was 22-0 after three quarters.
Isaiah Falcon was at it again in the 4th quarter scoring another touchdown and adding the two point conversion as well.
The Fiddlers came away from the night with a 30-0 victory and a 3-0 record. Boy is it fun being a Fiddler!
