The Lady Fiddlers hosted the Stroman Vipers on Sept. 19. The 7th grade A team won in 2 games 25 – 11, and 25 – 22. Results of the match were: Martina Stavinoha 15 pts, Abby Hroch 8 pts, Ashlyn Beard 4 pts, Savannah Woodward 3, Alex Iglesias 2, and Genesis Villarreal 1 pt. Abby had the most spikes with 3, Ashlyn was top setter and Martina was top passer for the night. Congratulations Ladies.
The 7th Grade B team has a new record of 5 – 1 after defeating Stroman 25 – 17 and 25 – 18. The Lady Fiddlers played an excellent game offensivel and defensively. Sarah Tomlinson served a 100% from the service line with 5 points, 1 spike and 2 sets; Bayley Neuman with 4 serves, 1 ace, and 6 points; Meghan Wehmeyer with 1 set and 1 save; Alexis Ybarra with 4 serves and 5 points; and Arriana Cruz with outstanding stats of 10 serves, 6 aces, 14 points, 3 spikes and 3 sets. Way to go Lady Fiddlers!!!!
The 8th A team traveled to Victoria Stroman and lost in 2 games, 9 – 25, and 22-25. Results of the match were: Alexis Cruz 6 pts, Elaina Cuellar 5 pts, Orianna Cantu 2, Janiah Orta and Kara Pfeil 1 pt each. Janiah was top spiker with 4 followed by Alexis, Kara and Lexi Kurtz with 3 each. Kara was top passer and Elaina was top setter.
The 8th grade B team improved their record to 7 - 0 against Stroman. The Lady Fiddlers won in 2 games 25 – 21 and 25 – 15. Miranda Moya was high scorer with 15 points and 3 aces. Jackie Brumfield had 9 good serves, 2 tips, 3 digs; Peyton Rudellat had 2 tips, 6 sets; Abby McFall had 4 good serves, 4 tips, 2 blocks and Gabby Bonuz had 3 saves. Way to work hard B team.
