The 8th grade B team won 1st place in the Seadrift Tournament this weekend.
The 8th grade B team open play in the Seadrift Tournament, Thursday night, against Seadrift. The Lady Fiddlers won in two 25 – 16 and 25 – 14. Great passing percentage and hustle by EVERY player on the team! Serves by Jackie Brumfield who was 13/13; 3 aces, Miranda Moya 11/13; 7 aces, and Haley Herrera 7/10; 3 aces contributed to the win. Kills by Jackie Brumfield 4/4, Abby McFall 3/3 and two by Brandy Escobar gave the Lady Fiddlers the edge to defeat the Lady Pirates. GREAT JOB GIRLS!
On Saturday the Lady Fiddlers defeated Cade in 3 games 25-9, 21-25, and 15-8. Jackie Brumfield had 20 good serves 10 aces, and 2 saves. Also outstanding against Cade was Miranda Moya with 15 good serves and 9 aces. Abby McFall had 2 spikes and 3 aces. Peyton Ruddelat had 2 aces, 4 sets, and 100% passing.
The Lady Fiddlers then faced Howell. They won in two games: 25-24 and 25-7. Highlights of game two were: Haley Herrera 18 good serves, 6 aces,; Peyton Ruddelat 5 aces, 4 sets; Jackie Brumfield 3 aces, 1 spike, and 1 block. Brandy Escobar also had 3 spikes.

7th Grade B Volleyball Team gets 1st in Industrial Tournament
This past weekend the Lady Fiddlers 7th grade ‘’B’’ Volleyball Team traveled to their first volleyball tournament at Industrial where they brought home the first place trophy! The girls received a bye the first round, and played Industrial in the semi-finals early Saturday morning winning 25-14, 25-19, and then played Danbury in a close championship match later that afternoon. The Lady Fiddlers struggled in their first game of the match with Danbury`s tough serving, but were able to shake it off and become tournament champs. The scores of the match were 23-25, 25-19, and 15-4. All the girls shined this weekend; Faith Tompkins with 72% passing average; Alexis Ybarra with 32 good serves, 2 aces, and 27 points; Sarah Tomlinson with 2 aces and 65% passing; Bayley Neuman with 14 points; Ali Kalisek with 26 serves, 3 aces, 27 points, and 10 sets; Savannah Trevino with 50% passing; Jocelyne Solis with 4 sets and 1 spike; Kara Dierschke with 8 points; Meghan Wehmeyer with 70% passing, and Arriana Cruz with 23 serves, 3 aces, 20 points, 2 spikes, 6 sets, and 1 dig. Way to go girls.
