food

Travis Middle School participated in the “Kids Helping Kids Food Drive” to help the Community Ministries Food Pantry. CHS and JR also participated. Travis was the top participant with a grand total of 1929 items. The Travis Drive was led by Coach Garcia and Coach Searcy. Mrs. Kupcho assisted with the tallying of all the items. There was a competition among the grade levels, with the totals being announced regularly. The seventh grade led until the last few days. The sixth graders came from behind to lead in the overall standing with 957 items, followed by the seventh graders with 685 items. The 8th graders also had 287 items. The competition was held from April 30 until May 28. The winning grade level, the 6th graders, will have a dance during the school day on Friday May 29th. Travis would like to thank Wal-mart and HEB for their donations. The Fiddlers did a great job in bringing in all the food items. A big thank you also goes out to the parents and the students!
