Welcome to the Texas Gulf Coast! Travis Middle School, home of the Fighting Fiddlers, is located in Port Lavaca off of State Highway 35 roughly half-way between Corpus Christi and Houston.  Travis MS is one of two middle schools in the Calhoun County Independent School District. It serves approximately 850 students in 6th through 8th grade with 80 staff members.

  • Fiddlers vs El Campo & Seadrift

    The 7th grade B team traveled to El Campo on Tuesday to take on the Ricebirds. It was hard fought effort on both sides of the ball but ultimately the fiddlers suffered their first loss of the season, 19-12. The fiddlers were led by Dekyn Garcia who scored a 33 yard touchdown on a reverse and also returned a kickoff 52 yards to claim both fiddler touchdowns.     LADY FIDDLER VOLLEYBALL RESULTS 7TH GRADE LAST SATURDAY THE LADY FIDDLERS PARTICIPATED IN THE DISTRICT VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT. THE B TEAM PLAYED 3 MATCHES IN THE TOURNAMENT.     8th grade A Team The 8th grade A team visited Cade at Pattie Welder Stadium on Tuesday evening. Offensively, the Fiddlers started out fast and drove 80 yards on their opening drive capped off with a 15 yard TD run by QB Andrew Ybarra to tie the game 8-8.     8th Grade B The 8th grade B team visited at Pattie Welder Stadium on Tuesday evening. The game started fast for the Fiddlers as RB Chris Torres put a TD and 2 point conversion in the end zone before half to make it 8-0 before halftime.     The 8th grade A team hosted Pattie Welder at Sandcrab Stadiumon Tuesday evening.
