Mr reeves from Allied waste out of corpus Christi, came to visit with the G3 students. They are the ones who do the waste collection for Calhoun county. Mr. Reeves presented a program on recycling and what products his company accepts in their recycling program. The Lady Fiddlers hosted the Stroman Vipers on Sept. 19. The 7th grade A team won in 2 games 25 – 11, and 25 – 22. Results of the match were: Martina Stavinoha 15 pts, Abby Hroch 8 pts, Ashlyn Beard 4 pts, Savannah Woodward 3, Alex Iglesias 2, and Genesis Villarreal 1 pt. Sept. 13th was another action packed game for our Travis Fiddler football team. The White team went over to Seadrift in hopes of another victory, but came up a bit short. Throughout the night, the offense had trouble moving the ball on the tough Seadrift defense. On the other hand, the Fiddler defense held up strong against a bigger Seadrift offense. The Fiddler’s Brandon Williams started out with runs of 15 and 10 yards, but were stopped by the Howell defense. Erik Lopez recovered a Wildcat fumble to give the Fiddlers the ball.
