CalhounCounty Independent School Districtis committed to assuring compliance with the provisions of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001. A strong emphasis is placed on the levels of academic proficiency that all students will meet, on the special needs of certain populations of students, and on factors that are critical to instruction and learning.
CCISD Federal Funds Planning
The Calhoun County Independent School District is in the process of planning for the use of all federally funded programs for the 2012-2013 school year. This includes but is not limited to, federal funding for Schooolwide Title I, teacher and principal training/recruiting, English language acquisition, language enhancement, academic achievement, McKinney-Vento Act, and Career and Technology Education. A meeting will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 1:30pm in the Technology Lab Room 15 next to the Victoria College Calhoun Center for input, discussion, and planning. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting. Non-profit private schools, home schoolers, and anyone with questions can call 361-551-2645 for more information.
