Calhoun County ISD’s Child Nutrition Department is proud to share some exciting news about our breakfast meal service. This year HJM, JR, Port O’Connor and Seadrift campuses have been selected to pilot a Breakfast in the Classroom and Universal Free Breakfast program. Under this new program, breakfast will be served to all children in their classrooms at 7:45 a.m. while the class is preparing for their instructional day. There is no charge to the students or teacher to eat breakfast. However, it’s important for students to arrive to their classrooms by 7:45 a.m. so breakfast can be served promptly. Again, the Breakfast in the Classroom/Universal Free Breakfast program will be offered at HJM, JR, Port O’Connor and Seadrift this year, as the program is piloted.

Travis Middle School, Calhoun High School and Hope High School campuses will continue to offer traditional breakfast service in their cafeterias before the school day begins. (Breakfast price $1.75; Reduced $0.30).
