Calhoun County ISD participates in United Way campaign
Posted on 11/28/2017
.The United Way of Calhoun County, TX, has provided the following information about this year's fundraising campaign and partner agencies:

To Calhoun County Independent School District Employees:

Since 1957 when the United Fund of Calhoun County was established, people from throughout Calhoun County have donated to this organization, helping to improve the lives of all those who live here. The board of directors continues to promote the four priority areas established two years ago: Children, Young People and Families; Senior Citizens; Rent/Utility Assistance and Helping Families to Succeed; Transportation and Affordable Housing. All of these issues revolve around United Way’s priorities of Education, Health and Income.

Our theme for this coming year, printed at the bottom of this letter, invites you to continue the work of building a stronger Calhoun County. Remember, the dollars raised for United Way in Calhoun County stay in our county to help build good lives. Focusing on the fact that each contribution paves the way for someone’s life to improve, your investment can positively impact the life of many people in our county, especially the young.

Following Hurricane Harvey, our United Way received a significant amount of Disaster Relief Funds. If you or someone you know has been impacted by the storm, please submit an application for assistance at either The Harbor (215 Railroad) or Calhoun County Community Ministries. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the UW office at 552-3630.
