The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) waiver that has provided school meals to be served to Calhoun County ISD students free of charge will expire after meals are served on November 30, 2017.  The meal waiver program had been available, temporarily, to Calhoun County ISD after the county was declared a Presidential Disaster Area from Hurricane Harvey earlier this year.

Starting December 1, 2017, and beyond, school meals will be served at the rate that students would normally pay, based on their household eligibility.

Families may submit a Household Meal Application to Calhoun County ISD’s Child Nutrition Department online at https://www.myschoolapps.com/  or by contacting 361.552.5356.

Additionally, “Breakfast in the Classroom”, which is a different program than the meal waiver, continues to offer breakfast free of charge to all students at Seadrift School, Port O’Connor Elementary, JR Elementary and HJM Elementary. The TDA waiver expiration does not impact Breakfast in the Classroom.

Questions about Calhoun County ISD Child Nutrition programs or student meal accounts can be directed to 361.552.5356.
