Calhoun County ISD Superintendent Dr. James Cowley has provided the following schedule update for staff, students and family. This schedule is SUBJECT TO CHANGE if necessary:

Monday, August 28: cleanup activities scheduled to begin, thanks to the efforts and support of a small maintenance team.

Tuesday, September 5: Calhoun County ISD staff scheduled to return at 8 a.m. for a work day.

Wednesday, September 6: (two hour delayed start): Students scheduled to start their first day of the 2017-18 school year two hours later than their campus’s published start time. The first day of school will dismiss at the campus’s published dismissal time. School hours are published at the top of the district calendar: http://www.calcoisd.org/common/pages/DisplayFile.aspx?itemId=10236786

Again, we emphasize that we must have (as a minimum) electrical, water, sewer and phone utility services working reliably before we can return. If this proposed schedule changes, we will communicate those changes by Monday, September 4.

Please also note that Calhoun High School’s home opening football game scheduled for September 1 against Brazoswood has been canceled. Please reference the Calhoun County web site and social media pages for the status of other events.
