Calhoun County Emergency Management has provided the following information to Calhoun County ISD officials:

Hurricane Harvey is currently approaching landfall as at least a Category 3 major hurricane. Some news stations are predicting a Category 4 at landfall. The eye of the storm is now predicted to pass over Austwell, producing 15-25 inches of rain (max 40"). A small tornado was reported in the Seadrift area. Again, 6 to 12 feet of storm surge is predicted, as is flooding over the days ahead.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our Calhoun County students, staff and neighbors. Please be safe.
